LWVCA's Third Annual Making Democracy Work Celebration Luncheon
Discussion units meet in February after a holiday break. The topic is Transportation Funding, a timely topic for the Cincinnati region. Learn about the history of Metro, how it is funded and plans for a levy in November to keep the system solvent. The region is rated down in some economic development assessments because of a weak public transportation system. The majority of jobs in the region cannot be reached on public transportation. Who is in charge of the system? How does it affect our communities? Read the Study Pages and come to a unit discussion meeting. Newcomers and guests always welcome.
A discussion leader briefing for the February units will be held January 31 at 6:30 p.m. in the League office. If you are a discussion leader and cannot attend, please contact Chris Moran or the office.
