Nancy Forbriger at LWVCA's 2014 Annual Meeting
In January of 1960, I was a young mother with two preschool children and an urgent need to talk to an adult about adult issues. I don't where I heard about the LWV, but on one cold night (near zero degrees!) I knocked on a door in Madisonville for a unit meeting, and found what I was looking for. They were amazed that I found them, and I was amazed what a well-spoken and informed group of ladies I had found. My need was fulfilled and I have been busy busy among well-spoken and informed people ever since.
